Meet our Staff

  • Joel Williamson,
    Executive Director

    Joel Williamson started volunteering for YFC-SCK in 2002, and became a part-time Campus Life director in 2004 while attending college.  He graduated from Barclay in 2007 with a degree in Bible/Theology and a minor in Youth Ministry. 

    In October of 2007, Joel stepped into full-time ministry with Youth for Christ.  In March of 2010, he became Executive Director. Besides being an Executive Director, Joel is involved in direct ministry in Pratt as well as directing the chapter's annual camp.  He lives with his wife Jewell in Haviland, KS. 

  • Deborah Factor,
    Development Director

    Deborah started more than 15 years ago working in Bucklin, KS as the leader of a ministry called "CLC."  When Youth for Christ was founded in 1995, the ministries merged.  She graduated Barclay College with a degree in Missions, Bible, and Specialized Children's Ministry in 1996.  

    In 1998, Deborah became Executive Director of the chapter.  In March of 2010, she changed roles and became the Development Director.  She lives with her husband Tony and son Caleb in Greensburg, KS. 

  • Kaylan Jones,
    Executive Assistant
    Kiowa County Teen Center 

    Kaylan started volunteering with YFC-SCK in 2000.  She graduated from Barclay College in 2004 with a degree in Psychology and Family Counseling. She came on staff in 2005.

    Kaylan serves as the Executive Assistant, running office projects and doing some of the behind-the-scenes work that makes this ministry happen.  She also works as support staff with the Campus Life programs in Kiowa and Pratt Counties.  She runs the Kiowa County Teen Center ministry.  She lives in Greensburg, KS.

  • Tony Factor,
    Kiowa County
    Ministry Director

    Tony Factor has been working in the Kiowa County ministry since 2001.  He graduated Barclay College in 2000 with a degree in Youth Ministry.  He married Deborah in March of 2000. 

    Tony serves as the Kiowa County Ministry Director, our chapter's video producer, and worship leader.  He also leads a Christian band that has performed around the area for many youth groups and community functions.  He lives with his wife Deborah and son Caleb in Greensburg, KS.

  • Whitney Kregar,
    Mentor and Volunteer Director

    Whitney Kregar began involvement with YFC-SCK in junior high as a student.  Whitney graduated in 2010 from Kansas State University with a degree in Social Science and from Manhattan Christian College with a degree in Biblical Studies.

    In the summer after her graduation, Whitney joined our staff as the Campus Life Director in Pratt, and now works as our Volunteer Coordinator.  She currently lives in the country outside of Greensburg with her husband, Luke. 

  • Nick Sterner,
    Pratt Campus Life Director

    Nick  volunteered as a camp counselor at the last minute in July of 2011 and quickly fell in love with the organization.  In September of 2011 Nick became Pratt's Campus Life Director.

    Nick is currently working on a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Ministry from Barclay College and plans to graduate in May of 2013. He lives with his wife, Michelle, in Haviland, KS.

  • Porfirio Miranda-Troup,
    Kiowa County
    Campus Life Director

    "Pilo," has been volunteering in Kiowa County since 2009.  He came to summer camp in July of 2011, and took on the role of helping to run Campus Life in September of 2011.

    He is from Denver, Colorado, and is currently working on a bachelor's degree in Business from Barclay College.  He lives in Haviland, KS.

  • Christa Zapfe,
    Bookkeeper

    Christa joined the Youth for Christ staff in April of 2011 as a part time bookkeeper, however she has partnered with this ministry since she moved to Kiowa County in 2006 to pastor Lighthouse Worship Center Assembly of God.

    She graduated from Southeastern College in 1999 with a degree in Pastoral Ministry and received her Masters from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 2005.  Christa lives in Greensburg, KS.
